I am passionate about my craft. I love the power of touch and how it brings healing to the body. I love how interconnected the human body is -from muscle to muscle, to our emotions and psyche. I am forever hungering for more knowledge and I continue to increase in and practice different modalities as a commitment to my clients.
I love to hear client feedback after a first session in my studio – everything from “I didn’t know that pain could be gone – I had learned to live with it!” to “Wow – you put me in such a state of relaxation that I couldn’t stay awake!” The greatest compliment I receive is repeat clients – many of whom have become good friends. Meet Yesica Carranza, our licensed esthetician! Originally from Manta, Ecuador, Yesica trained at Southeastern Esthetics Institute and holds professional licenses in both North and South Carolina. Having previously worked as the lead Esthetician for a large chain, she brings her years of expertise to Makani Massage to provide full body waxing services to both men and women. Yesica also carries certification in the popular “sugaring” technique. She often employs various products including hard and soft waxes – as well as sugaring to achieve a thorough hair-free result. She enjoys being able to customize treatment to each client at a relaxed pace at Makani Massage.

Carrying more than 20 years experience as a licensed Massage Therapist, Tina is proficient in a plethora of modalities. Included are Swedish, Deep Tissue, Structural Integration, Neuromuscular Therapy, Cupping and Reiki II just to name a few. Tina seeks out challenging and innovative ideas in the massage world and is currently extending her travels into Peru to pursue spiritual enlightenment and to study energy work.
Tina’s career has taken her from working in a Chiropractor’s office, to a full service spa (she is also a trained Esthetician), to the private practice of Makani Massage. Tina most enjoys witnessing people’s lives change as they become happier, healthier and more balanced.
